Will the cult of ignorance ever die?

If you’ve opened Facebook over the past few weeks, you’ve probably noticed a dramatic rise in negative energy. I don’t know about you, but I’m not interested in reading people raging, gaslighting, negging, cold shouldering, guilt tripping, and triangulating. Try and respond to what you think is a misunderstanding of political agendas and you’ll get caught in a DARVO trap (Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender). Will it be this way for the next four years? It can’t be good for people’s health. I wonder and worry about them.

Note: I’m not a doctor and you shouldn’t take any medical advice from me, but people seem to have contracted a severe case of TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) and EDS (Elon Derangement Syndrome). Anything labeled “syndrome” is a sophisticated way of describing a condition characterized by a set of associated symptoms, without a known cause. But in the case of these two syndromes, we do kind-of know the cause, which is manipulation through propaganda and triangulation. These are narcissist favorites, combined with ever-improving hypnosis techniques. Take your brain vitamins and don’t get sick!

I’ve been contemplating the root cause of our dualistic ideologies (republican vs. democrat), at least in sentiment, and increasing polarization. It has to do with people’s worldview, particularly how they see government. I, for example, think of government as a narcissist, because I’ve had relationships with narcissists and I’ve learned how recognize the signs and symptoms. However, a great many of my friends on Facebook seem to think of government as an echoist, or at least their party’s side. Echoism is the opposite of narcissism. While a narcissist is self-centered and always acts in his own best interest, an echoist puts others’ needs before his own. Lots of people think their team represents the good guys.

But there’s a whole contingent of Americans now who have come to see the government, in general, as more and more narcissistic, moving in the wrong direction. We are hoping our team is different, and will break all the rules and overthrow the sour narcissistic system. A good many think the government is trying to slowly kill off a lot of us using viruses and vaccines, in order to deal with a critical population crisis. There are simply too many people on the earth now, and that’s a fact. As I’ve written before, and I’ll continue to write,  the U.S. has experienced a 287.44% increase in consumers and a 241,096% increase in national debt since Warren Buffet was born. Since 1850, the global population has roughly quadrupled in size. Meanwhile, Earth has not.

There’s also this dualistic good/bad dichotomy that runs through our culture. To the left, Trump and Elon are bad and Biden and Kamala are good. To the right, it’s just the opposite. The left thinks Trump and Elon are Nazis, and the right thinks the left is hysteric, clinically insane and full of it. There are intelligent, educated, wealthy people on both sides, but they see very different things. The left thinks the government should be involved in racial issues, gender issues, sex changes, abortion rights, etc. And the right doesn’t want government involved in those things. Government should be smaller, not bigger. Less regulation, not more. And more transparency, of course.

We know about DARPA (brains behind the military). We know that wars are really looting operations that go back to the old Knights Templar model. We know that empires are not benevolent servants of the people. We know that slavery has persisted throughout all of history…always someone doing the dirty work. We also know it is people who give the government power, and that the government relies on people’s opinions, values, and actions to remain relevant and exist. Propaganda highlights information that supports a political position, while downplaying or omitting information that does not. It uses images, words, and symbols, often based on facts that are presented in a biased way.

In 2022, the Merriam-Webster Dictionary named GASLIGHTING the Most Used Word of the Year. In 2024, the Most Used Word was POLARIZATION. But in 2023, the word was AUTHENTIC. As you can imagine, I investigated the anomaly, and apparently it was “driven by stories and conversations about AI, celebrity culture, identity, and social media.” Wait, there’s more rationale… “Celebrities like singers Lainey Wilson, Sam Smith, and especially Taylor Swift all made headlines in 2023 with statements about seeking their ‘authentic voice’ and ‘authentic self.’ ” And “Authentic is what brands, social media influencers, and celebrities aspire to be.”

So there you have it! The “Authenticity” anomaly was about branding a form of gaslighting that dramatically increased the polarization of politics. Many folks fell for it hook, line, and sinker. To others, they realized how fake everything is and started asking questions. It’s still early in the year, but 2025’s word and tactic is shaping up to be TRIANGULATION, at least in action. While gaslighting is when someone tries to confuse you, make you feel insecure, and get you to distrust your own perceptions and memories, triangulation inserts a third party into a relationship to control communication and create conflict. Who is it? Hint, she’s a covert narcissist.

If you read my post, Daddy’s Home, then you recall the “Devouring Mother” from Carl Jung’s “shadows” of the good mother and father. I like to think of our dualistic political parties as daddy and mommy who have both gone extreme in many ways, along with society. Basically, they got into a big fight and divorced a long time ago. Mommy had the kids on her side for four years, while Daddy was away on vacation. Now Daddy is home again and Mommy is afraid of him turning the kids against her by exposing her ugliness! Narcissists love triangulation; they love to create chaos, so they can exploit the chaos to the control the situation and people in it.

When a friend of mine on Facebook posted a blurb and meme about saving USAID, I asked him if he followed The Duran. He replied with a screenshot and a comment, “I don’t watch political commentary. Especially agenda driven political commentary.” How do you communicate with someone like this? Basically, he’s saying My mother told me that the Duran is not appropriate for me, so I’m choosing to be willfully ignorant and ignore it. I trust my propaganda and my mother…not you. So go take a hike! You must be stupid because what you watch is labeled right-wing. That’s what I heard anyway. A door slammed in my face.

It’s the exact same robotic non-thinking response with every single leftie. It’s really quite amazing to see your family and friends turn into robots. They have been mentally programmed to ABORT conversations that could lead them to think and therefore discover the truth. Sadly, it takes too much energy for me to explain that our mother is a narcissist and she has an ulterior motive…that she set up Fact Checkers and Political Bias monitors to keep her children engaged with her, far far away from their father and what he knows. She is not trying to protect us or connect with us. She’s trying to use us to affirm her place in the world.

I’m perplexed, though, because I hear my estranged brothers and sisters screaming, “Save the criminals! Save the corruption! Save the wars!” And I am like, WTF???!!! Do they not understand that USAID is perhaps the biggest money laundering scheme in the history of humanity? Do they not know about the new website, USASpending.gov where they can look it all up? It seems like willful ignorance is the name of the game. Fact is, our Devouring Mother is censoring, controlling, manipulative, and over-involved with her “children” of the world. And she doesn’t want you to have a real connection with your father, who is exposing her lying, overreach, and control.

Many folks have attached their identities to a political ideology, and to detach from that ideology would result in identity crisis. A year ago, I wrote Are you sure want to save democracy? “Save democracy” is code phrase for a club of delusional people who belong to a delusional group that does delusional things to justify their delusions. If you want to save democracy, then you support the government sending borrowed money all over the world for control, war, special interests, corruption, etc. OK! But here’s the catch…The United States of America is a Constitutional Republic, and that’s what Trump and his team are trying to save. Not Democracy!

I’m sorry, but I don’t see Hitler and I don’t see Nazis. Perhaps I am the one who is deluded, but I don’t think so. Trump is not racist, not sexist, not homophobic, and not going to gather up a group of people in the United States to execute. I don’t see that. If you see that, I don’t know how you see that…I’m completely dumbfounded. All I can think is you’re a victim to propaganda. Notice, if a leftie asks me if I read something, I don’t go find Fact Checkers or look for character assassinations and slam the door in their faces. I will actually just go straight to the source and read it myself, out of curiosity but also out of respect for them as friends. I use my own brain to devour information and make wisdom. History beats propaganda, if you know it…

I realize that lefties must think I’m crazy because I don’t see Trump and Elon as Nazis…I see them as narcissists. I realize that Trump has some revenge to seek after being targeted and humiliated for so long. Elon, too. There are ulterior motives, and neither one of them are saints. I might hang out with them at a party, but they aren’t the kind of people I want to live with or be connected with on a daily basis. Sometimes it takes a narcissist to beat a narcissist…and that’s what we are seeing here. Maybe it’s not the Democratic party who is the Devouring Mother. Maybe the Devouring Mother is the Deep State and the Democratic party is her children.

ONE LAST THING: Notice “Ignore” in the word “Ignorant”… If you look to fact checkers and political bias monitors to guide your media, then you are choosing willful ignorance. Instead, rely on your mind. It’s a beautiful thing. Use it or lose it.
